The Kildeer Police Department has instituted a department-wide program called the Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP). This program provides for high-visibility patrols of problem areas identified by accident statistics and public input. The traffic officer is assigned to these areas throughout the day to monitor speed and safety violations. In addition, patrol officers are assigned to patrol these areas during the course of their patrol duties. Each month, the Kildeer Police Department will compile statistics on the STEP areas and publish them on this web site. Interested parties may click on the button to the right to view the STEP area information. Residents having traffic concerns within the Village are welcome to use the Feedback form below. Their comments will be referred to the traffic safety officer and patrol sergeants for action. |
