Department ProfileThe Kildeer Police Department provides law enforcement services for the residents of the Village of Kildeer. Its jurisdiction covers approximately five square miles in southwest Lake County, Illinois and includes US Route 12 and State Highway 22. (Click here for maps of the area) The Village of Kildeer was incorporated in 1958 and its police department was officially established by ordinance in 1975. At this time, the Kildeer Police Department staff consists of the Chief of Police, three Patrol Sergeants, two detectives, fourteen patrol officers, a records supervisor, two part-time records clerks, and a matron, Communications services are provided on a contractual basis by the Lake Zurich Police Department. The Village of Kildeer has enhanced 9-1-1 service provided through the Lake County Emergency Telephone System Board. In addition to providing police service to the Village of Kildeer, the Kildeer Police Department also provides complete law enforcement services for the neighboring village of Deer Park. Who We AreThe Kildeer Police Department recognizes that a strong set of ethics and values is a requirement for successful policing in this day and age. To further that belief, the Kildeer Police Department has adopted a Mission Statement, a Police Ethics Statement, and a formal Values Statement.
